Weld-Aid Lube-Matic Wire Kleener and Lubricant, 3.75 oz Can

Bought it for welding wire, but have since read that the wire oiling/etc are detriemtal to the welder and its wire.

We bought this based on the recommendation of a welder who came into our shop. We have a rather dirty environment, and he suggested that we put filters and cleaners on our wire so that it would be cleaner when it went into the gun. We will see if it improves and cleans up our welds, but it appears that it cannot hurt.

This product keeps your mig wire clean reducing friction in the welder torch.

This works in conjunction with the Lubematic felt pads that clamp over your wire in your welder to lubricate the line and clean it. It works very well.You don't use much, so it seems to be pretty economical as well.
